You should be fine using the system if you just don't heavily style it, use multiple notices in the same location, keep text notices at roughly the same text count to avoid gapping (whitespeace) and some other factors I haven't mentioned.
Well when/if I ever get a site up using XenForo my notices will probably be different lengths in characters . I would use XF as my support/community but I don't think it would suit me well, and because when I get the money IP.Nexus for selling skins will make it really easy.
Hah, IP.Nexus easy. Try telling yourself that when you're curled up in the fetal position whimpering in a corner.
I've used it before but with something else, was setting it up for a friend, was easy then, should be now . Plus its better then paying ~$400 for a custom solution.
With the complaints and issues I had with the notice system Xenforo 1.1.1 has brought some significant improvements. Firstly, the introduction of the stacked notices have resolved a lot of issues I was experiencing with the notices (multiple notices displayed in the same location) repeating themselves have now been resolved. I'm still experimenting with it but so far, so good it's a welcomed improvement to this system. Scrolling and the ability to disable it is another welcomed option but then stacked notices in the same location would be doubly annoying since 1 notice horizontally was irritating but stacked notices scrolling would be mind blowing another welcomed addition. With stacked notices it's cured another problem that horizontally display I had, loads of space displaying if your notices are of different height now I can have notices at the sizes i want and don't need to worry about whitespace, gapping and tabs not aligning correctly without deploying dirty fixes I previously had before. More flexibility now. Overall, 1.1.1 has now come with a better user experience with regards to the notices. Much much better.
