DIR628 is D-Link not NETGEAR!!!!! Please edit your post.
The RE1000 is wireless and is doing the job mentioned above but my big complaint with it is that isn't a dual-band device. Paired with the 4200 works pretty easily but can only repeat the 2.4ghz channel & not the 5ghz channel.
Thank you. Considering I loathe Netgear routers and would never, ever purchase one, I'm a bit confused as to why I'd type that.
awww why do you hate NETGEAR???
We got a Virgin Media Super Hub yesterday because we switched to their services, and their hubs are made by Netgear.
how do you know that? most ISP brands are well hidden....
Well, for one thing it comes with the Netgear software!
At least with Verizon here in the States no attempt is made at hiding who the manufacturer is and it is pretty easy to find forums discussing the different models & updates that can be done to them.
It coming with a Netgear terms and conditions booklet was my first clue
Not really. I could, but I purchased the modem which I feel should have been made free since my router before that was playing up and they offer a free hub to new customers. Once BT Infinity becomes available in my area I'll be switching.
but seriously though no one has AMPED WIRELESS!!! routers? they have HARDCORE COVERAGE!!!!!
I just got an AMPED WIRELESS!!!! access point and it's HARDCORE COVERAGE!!!!! really i can watch HD youtube videos with very little buffering from 175 feet away!!!!
It's an AP20000G!!!!
dual band, guest networks, usb sharing, wired to wireless bridging, lots of cool other stuff it's awesome!!!
I've got a Cisco / Linksys E3000 that is supposed to be powerful. It isn't. Drives me crazy that there are no connectors to add an antenna or even connect to a repeater or range extender. For that kind of money for something that powerful it should be included.
I highly recommend this! AMPED WIRELESS!!! R20000G! router
Has hardcore coverage and external antennas and you can even upgrade the antennas
This was asked on XenForo.com and everyone who tried them after my recommendation; has been more than satisfied. They out preform Netgreat, Cisco Linksy, and D-Link
I travel to much to have a router or home connection!
