I'm looking for a robust VPS that preferably has a 50% discount type of thing for the life of VPS plan. My current VPS specs: 2 Dedicated IP 512MB RAM 1024MB Burstable RAM 50GB Storage The VPS I'm seeking should have similar specs and be less than $30 per month. It should be a managed VPS, preferably with unmetered bandwidth usage that includes cPanel and WHM. Suggestions please? Thanks Jacquii.
Take a look at ★★ HostV ★ UNMETERED VPS SALE @ ONLY $14.99 - FREE Upgrades & LIFETIME Discounts! ★★ - Web Hosting Talk - Can't speak for the company as I've never personally used them but they seem to have the specs/price you need.
I'm with VPS Virtual Private Server Cloud | UK / USA - unmanaged, it's semi decent. Gone downhill lately. My friends are with Linode - Xen VPS Hosting and I hear nothing bad about it. You wont get cPanel AND the VPS on either for less than $30 per month, if you're good at learning, you can do what I did and do it all from the command line (no adding sites from cpanels etc) Btw, those are both unmanaged.
Thanks for responding yawl Think I may have found something suitable - Index of / -- seems they have a recurring 30% discount for life of VPS ==> MANAGED VPS BLOWOUT SALE!! 50% OFF LIFE | FREE cPANEL! 100mbit | Going INSANE!<--HOT! - Web Hosting Talk -- AND it seems they might be willing to workout a custom discount maybe... Anyone know anything about VPSLatch? Are they good, bad or ugly???
Loads fine for me also..but any place that offers a managed vps for like $15 or whatever probably is not that good.. I could be wrong though
Yes, I should think trying to get un-metered bandwidth and server management with your budget being so small is going to seriously limit your options to ACME Hosting and Fly-By-Night Hosting. I've been down the baby chick (cheep, cheep, cheep) hosting route and learned my lessons. A quality VPS host can't make give-away deals, because good connections, good equipment and solid support all come with their own price tags. I have had very good experiences with both KnownHost and MDDHosting. You will need to squeeze out a bit more budget, but they will both provide you with excellent service.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions everybody. I'm currently using HostV - I have been relatively pleased with this service and only considered moving after the 1st year of hosting because of the rate change ==> I initially used a 50% discount that they had offered for first payment only - So the initial 1-year fee was $239.94 I filed a support ticket just recently and found that HostV billing support was able to offer me the current discount rate they are running. So I'm sticking with them! Kudos to HostV! Jacquii.
