It looks like Matt has finally heard us all bickering about SEO. I've been talking with him about it and he's been asking some questions and I must say, I think this "better SEO release" will actually be better. Unlike some of the staff there, Matt has caught on that there is a problem. The thing I feel that is going on is their staff think that people like me only care about SEO. But if that was the case, do you think we would have nearly 400k members on my site with around 4 million posts? No. And then some of them blame it on bad or lack of content. If my site had such bad content, I don't think I'd be getting more uniques per day than some of their own sites get in a month. But in the end, someone is actually listening which is nice. It took a long time, but he's listening. Getting to speak with him over IM, it's been quite nice to bounce ideas off each other and him explain some of the features they are planning on implementing to help with pagespeed and SEO. I must say, all IPB users should be in for a pleasant surprise when it's released. If everything on paper translates well to real world experience, we should have a faster, more optimized software.
... email me. Actually, email would be better... because I can star the Email in Thunderbird so I actually remember to address it.
Darn, I was planning on nudging you to death, guess I'll just type "NUDGE" into random parts of the email, also I will be needing your email again, no hosting = no outlook = no email for you as I have my domain set up on GMail for now (and maybe forever).
Nothing new. Get emails from IPS all the time. Woke up to 24 emails this morning, and have had another 14 or 15 since then.
I'm quite sure you don't need me to say anything, you run a successful forum. Never keep your eggs in one basket keeping all options open so if everything falls through you always have an alternative to fall back on. I stand by this rule myself whilst using my current software. I don't recall seeing a link to your forum do you mind posting it so I can see your site?
Not like it isn't in my avatar or anything xD But for the lazy people: Link. Don't mind some of the faults...it's being fixed up. 2 coders just left me without any notice...35% of our entire project finished. That is mainly why I'm looking at xF now since I feel that going that route will be easiest and fastest way for me to get everything up and running how I had planned this whole time (not to mention, it's a perfect fit for me and my site).
Awesome news, great morning pepper upper^^ We are planning on making move to 3.2 pretty soon, I'm hoping when we get there it's rewarding. Glad hearing you're happy with your feed back. gogo
Although IPB is a great forum software, i am beginning to prefer XF. IPB used to be my bread butter, but with 3.2..things changed for me. But yes, IPS has always had great support.
