Lack of development?

This is what started his tirade. I was not addressing Forever Young directly, I didn't even say his name. But he chose to be sarcastic and mock me at the same time. At least that's what I think....

Now, let's take a look, shall we? I called people dumb, because $140 is nothing compared to:

A.) Paying $285 for a new or upgraded license to vB4, because of the horrendous amount of bugs. And they continue to release a new version of vB4 despite the fact that there are hundreds of bugs left in the system. This is the situation I had.

B.) Paying $470 for a wholesome product, when it's direct competitor, IPB is charging just a measely $190 (correct me if I am wrong about IPB's price here).

C.) As AzzidReign pointed out, a IPB license holder is paying out a number to EACH individual section of their suite of products. This racks up to $170 per year (Azzid, feel free to correct me here). I have never known this before, and I have never heard of this talk before. I had previously thought IPB is employing the same license structure as the market standard.

Now, let's consider adding $100 to $400 for server costs, and you're running new sites. Forever Young's site is small, so going by his IPB mindset. He's paying $200 per year. And his ads only showed $100 across the entire year. Who's losing money? The owner of a prospering XF forum, or the guy paying astronomical prices for something he thought was going to return him something substantial. Tell me, is that logical? In this economy, it's not. I think we all agree on that one.

I have dealt with trolls who say "I'm actually an intelligent person" with a smiley at the end before. It's on a service that you should know by now: Call of Duty. I deal with these @$$hats every #@^&ing day. His post comes off as trolling to me, because of what I just said. I imagine Xbox Live members who play Call of Duty are worse in this regard. Because you have 12 year olds acting all tough, and entitled to call someone else stupid and think they're more intelligent than the next person.

Okay, then if he didn't say I'm a troll [going by what you and Young said], then he pointed it out indirectly and albeit with an attitude to boot. His mocking of me, takes this to a whole new level. And yet, you're ignoring it, but telling me I'm a troll. Yet, you tell me I'm acting like a child, and a brat. You and Azzid thinks it was my fault.

I feel that everyone is jumping on my case, and assumes the wrong things about me, when in fact. He started it. I find this annoying, especially on xenforo where I have been trying my patience, and trying to control myself as I didn't want to be banned from xenForo, it's just the fact that people are interjecting, and forcing ideas into other people's minds and perceive me as the most hate'able person on earth.

I didn't start anything. I came to a discussion board to discuss and respectfully debate and also learn from more experienced people.

This to me just feels like the fact that you are trying to point out the fault in my purchase and my choice for leaving Xenfor behind and you don't have the right to tell me that I am wrong in the way I chose to spend my money or the way i view my money is a waste.

if you noticed, I disagreed with your viewpoints on XF and IPB but I still respected your points enough to realize they are unique to YOU and those are not my experiences so we can differ

Its your money, but don't be crying when your site is completely dead because of hundreds of errors or problems. Or because the features you thought were working for you, suddenly don't. I WENT through that phase already. It's why I moved! I was being vocal about it for a reason!

As entertaining as this is and amusing, I don't want to derail this thread and make it about me or about you and keep it on the topic. Its about Xenforo's development and lack thereof.

I'll try to stay on topic and not make it personal if you can

I don't need anyone to back me up. I am quite capable of standing on my own. What i've learned

1. People take things WAY too seriously over the internet. Exhibit A.

2. Maybe I was a bit overzealous and not giving Xenforo more time to grow even though i feel like certain things should already be apart of it in Xenforo already..

3. That while iPB may be perfect now, that may need to keep my eyes open for things in the FUTURE that could go wrong.

4. That I need look more into this SEO thing....I'll spend my night doing that.

At this point and time, I still stand by my decision and purchase and all that I have said in this thread. Q2 is almost over and i am ready to see SOMETHING from the XF camp for 1.2 or i'm selling ,my license.

I am willing to hear more about what puts XF above all others and what exactly is wrong with IPB as I am always eager to learn. If what you say is true, I wouldn't mind learning some of your skills.

So let's not make this into a big debate much longer and if you need to address something just write on my profile and send me a PM

I was going to be chill until young proceeded to say things that I think is offensive. Some parts of it are a bunch of lies.

I don't care if it doesn't fly around here or not. The fact that everyone is siding with Young, and thinking it's my fault, and I'm reading a lot into replies. I have never encountered Lilu at xenForo (aside from a few posts here and there), and she said she's never seen me in action at xenForo, so she doesn't know what I'm talking about. As of right now, I think her perception of me is changing because people are interjecting ideas into her. Now she thinks I'm a troll based on what Young said. I'm not putting words into anyone's mouth, but that's the way it's read from the last replies she made. Had she not focused on me entirely, I would not have been like "ban me."

Let me put it this way, suppose your little brother hits you in the face, but your parent didn't see it. You hit back. Your parent tells you to stop it. Guess who's the blame? You. How you respond to it: That's called resentment.

You skipped through a lot of my posts where I try to prove my case. You still do it. I read a lot of his posts as attacks because of many reasons. I stated them. You still ignore it. And continue to think it's my fault, and I'm a troll.

And I never said you were saying I don't have the right to state my own opinion. I do respect other people's opinions. Young's attitude is what tipped me off. Had he not used a lot of sarcasm, which is [possibly] a habit of his, since he's got a troll on his site.

And I never called anyone "not intelligent." He made it sound like I am saying that. That's what started me off. It's not directed at any one person, and it's not directed at any one general group. It's just a speech. A way to prove my case. I have been polite, it's people that don't choose to think of me that way. Just rush to conclusion and assume bad things about me.

When more than one individual says you're reading more than what's showing on the screen, one would think that perhaps they're right. Nobody is siding with anyone. However, YOU are getting plenty of exercise by leaping to conclusions.

It sounds like siding with someone else to me especially when that person is trying to persuade other people to their side. Good job going with the popular idea.
