When you have started a new community and you of course have made a lot of posts for people to reply to and some decent articles and what not, what is the next best step to keep things going when things get a bit quiet? I am running out of ideas for threads at the moment to keep the current member base happy and its been getting to me. Could it be that I need a break perhaps? Is there a limit to what an Admin should post? Any ideas of advice would be appreciated
Keep plugging away - new threads, rss feeds if relevant, articles... tweet them, facebook them... DIGG if relevant. At some point someone will find you and join in
Thanks I think I should get around to digging the articles I have done, I also need to start building back links too, I think the trouble with me Tweeting them is that I end up with Twitter solely as a feed and the same with Facebook pretty much. I think its the ideas part that I am struggling with the most, I cant even think of off topic things lol
Took a quick look. I see members on the site, which is always a good sign. Where are you advertising so far? Obviously sig links. Do you use your twitter account personally? Mine is extremely active because I use it all day every day so when I slip a link in for here or my other site, it's not constant link spam.
I have the site on all the sites in my signature although the advert could be a lot more prominent on them. I use signature links where ever I go, I have links wherever I go pretty much, I dont visit many sites these days though. I dont use Twitter or Facebook other than for the sites, I have never been able to get into them properly and when I have its normally a feed lol Also, I just broke my Digg axel
