Hey Adx community, I made a site named Students Corner and it's really new. It's purpose is to help Students with education and personal life problems. I also want to make it fun for the students as well. What's some good tips to make a community fun for the users?
You could hold competitions regularly for fun or celebrate things on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter etc You could add some forums for off topic discussions too which will add to the fun but ultimately a community is usually more of a resource and somewhere to find good help than somewhere fun and creating such an environment is mainly possible through the staff members behaviour and the communities behaviour as a whole. Perhaps add some fun threads in your forums that are fun to respond to, think of what YOU would like to respond to and find fun to reply to and try it out and if it doesn't work then leave it. Be as fun of an administrator as possible without making yourself look silly or allowing the members to think you can be walked all over, it is all about the balance between the two
