How long before demotion?

When it comes to moderators we will contact them after about a week or two of not telling us about their absence and if we receive no response after a month we demote them and let them know theyre welcome back on the team in the future. If its another staff member for example our Support Leaders we will give them two months after trying to make contact with them before demotion.

If they have a reason for inactivity, as long as they occasionally check in, their fine.

I would say 1-2 months, depending on the person, and on the rank. I'm fairly close with all my staff (I keep in touch with them on a nearly daily basis, most of which isn't related to the sites), so I know about things before they go inactive, except with some cases, or if it was an emergency.

I had one member that disappeared for nearly 6 months without word, and caused drama because I had removed him (I had a modification that emailed on demotion), meaning he was around, just not around on the forum.
