Hey guys We're going to be finally updating our forum software to 3.1 on December 1st! and.. we're trying to see how to put in google scraper ads.. does anyone know if it's possible? Or, do you have link to a site for ipb3.1 that has a scraper so we can look at code? As well, Lisa, I love the names collection you have at bottom of this forum...kinda like we have at our old version IPB and that TAz has...is this a hack, do you have a link? Or oooh, is it build into IPB? As well, (questions question! ) do you know if there is a hack that operates like the one that Taz uses... where only a limited number of views are allowed before a person is asked to register? About time! You can add a custom sidebar block and put your adsense code in there without any problems - there's a lot of options pre-built in to IPB itself and there's a few funky ad-related addons available too. Initially it was just a coded table whacked in the footer of the template.. Now we use IP.Nexus - which I just adore (and aren't using to its full capacity right now!) I hate that hack - it's also pretty pointless as all you need to do is delete the tracking cookie to get around it.
ha, Lisa, thanks for the quick post with answers... we finally got the whole Schebang up and going...and even bought a new skin from Evanescence for Christmas and Schot did some work with some customizations: Christmas in Ancaria 2010 Reputation is a new thing to me though... how much are you allowing to peeps per day. Do you allow each only a small amount so they are careful each day who they give it to? As well, someone had mentioned that there was a hack that we could add that would emulate Taz's rep system by automatically opening up a message bar everytime someone gives rep... does anyone here know where that is? And (lol, again lots more questions! :smile_coffee The hack for seeing everyone that has logged in over the course of a day... is that the IM one that I see being offered as a hook? Cheers! gogo

We just tracked down most of the goodies...cept for one hack... someone had mentioned there was a hack that could allow us to perfectly emulate the the same Rep system at Taz...where if we wanted to give someone rep, it would spawn a field for messages. Also Taz has a way letting peeps see "collect" all the yummy notes that peeps send along with the rep... does anyone know where we can find that hack/hook? Cheers! gogo
Just had a quick look for you and think its this you have seen mentioned [AH30] Reputation 1.0.2 I would have a read of the whole topic before you install as I think this started off being a hook for IPB 3.0.5 Link to Hook (IPS Site)
Dude, yer awesome, thank you! I just went through the entire thread. It loox like it went through some adventures ^^ However...this IS the best rep system in the world, and the mini message thing is exquisite. We have just finished spending days on getting our forum upgraded to 3.1, our game wiki upgraded to latest version media wiki, trying to hunt down all remnants of ipbwiki (which we think has put psuedo pods through the dbase and now wants to turn us into puppets), also (With azh's advice, bought a skin for christmas! yay) ,and on top of that had to learn how to use facebook wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Thank you for helping us find this, we're just working now on the Christmas music module for our site, and once that's done, we can check out this hook.
