What is your favourite part of designing? Whether it be Logos, signatures, banners, styles, icons, smilies, avatars, ranks anything really. What area do you find yourself enjoying the most that you find you excel above other areas of design. For me, (i'm sure it won't come as a surprise to anyone) my favorite area od designing is creating smilies. I find that I can express my designs how I envision to be. With smilies I find, I can be as extreme and go wild as I want. And sometimes I do, I'll have to post those "extreme emoticons one day". What your favourite area of design you enjoy most?
Signatures are fun, but I can do anything really. I like being able to help someone with my somewhat-decent skills, is all. I rarely design anymore, so I need to brush up on my skills.
I find signatures fun to do - mainly because I don't have to think about it and can concentrate on other stuff at the same time and I usually have to be multi-tasking!
I like working with the design overall, making PSD's of full websites is something I think I'm pretty good at, I also like making logos, I guess you can say it's my fave part.
My favourite part is actually nothing to do with making logos, smilies, site banners etc... I make 3d models for a game, so my favourite part is actually texturing the models, adding shadows, details etc.... Not quite what you were asking. But well it still involves using photoshop. LOL. Shelley - I can understand why you really enjoy making smilies.
This, or ranks - usually because I have a nice idea of what I want before, so can do it with little thought.
It can be anything related to any graphic area of design from 3d to 2d. To sketching (hand drawn art) to anything.
I'm not very good at design itself; I rely on programs like Illustrator where I can specify the exact size, shape, and color of things with numerical values because I have absolutely no ability to draw. If I find a stock vector image that I can rearrange into what I want, I'm happy as a clam though.
I enjoy making forum images like ranks and statusicons, one thing I really hate needing to do are threadmarkers, they take far too long and have easy to confuse file names such as thread_dot_hot_lock.gif. I like editing proper images too like adding lighting effects but I havent done so in a very long time. I am not too keen on making logos or full site PSD's, I think those are where I lack creativity mainly.
