Do you think long and drawn out posts or short posts are best?

I've just sneaked a peek at your blog again and I think you have got the balance just right betwee text content and piccies. I think you could add news aricles though. I run a similar kind of site using forum software and have rss feeds from the local police, councils and university along with manual look ups from various 'local' sites to create content.
