I couldn't see any recent topics on rules/guidelines so I thought I'd start a new one. I've been trawling through some old, saved content from my days running a relatively busy community (2004-2008) and have dug out some bits and pieces. We had a rather extensive 'guide' for our members to the feautures available on our website and the rules and guidelines they were expected to abide by, which I'll detail below. Perhaps these will be useful to some of you out there! Personally I tried to take a rather informal/lighthearted approach while still ensuring we were clear on expected behaviours so first our overall 'Guidelines' document. Below this are then further, expanded explanations we also had pages for. Then the further 'expanded' guidelines of certain specifics of the above;
The Rules Rule 4 has some leeway, especially for those who are suspected of being off their "meds" and post outrageous stuff.
