Hey folks, Recently, I had two forums and they went dead mainly (I blame myself haha) because activity dropped and I didn't really do anything about it. The domain names have a year left before they expire and they are really keyword rich domains. The competition is extremely low too and I have a good chance of beating it One of my other forum projects is not even 6 months old yet and I successfully got over 200 members and nearly 15,000 posts on it... reflecting from that, I figured I could restart the two other forums again and attempt the same system (my secret system, ask me and I will tell you it hehehe) again and try to make the better! I am wondering, has anyone here ever done this before? If so, how long did you let the forum stay open to see if it was going to make it or is it still open? Did it turn out better after you restarted it this time?
I have not done it before however I know a couple people that have. I found they posted a lot for the first week some users came back and then he stopped posting. The site died shortly after. However if you have the determination to start it up, manage multiple forums and think it will be something you enjoy I say go for it. Feel free to share your secret system.
I brought one back and its doing quite nice now The problem with the previous one was the design I think, it looked cheap... Now that I am getting better at photoshop, its actually doing good and looks better.
I am trying to do this with a forum of mine and was again sidetracked by a new project. It's not easy to do it, but in the end it's possible. I have started posting in similar forums (where I have many posts and am respected) so that I can attract more attention to it, starting new forums, have also created a new theme and am bringing new articles on a regular basis. It will start moving in time
My forum went pretty dead as well when I took it down a few months ago, and never really recovered. I need to do something about it :/
