Looks like we are finally ready to upgrade from IPB to xenForo! Finally got a working IP.Nexus converter for our site (probably won't be released as the guy that made it for me said it would take some custom coding for each site) which was my BIGGEST concern. And thanks to Forsaken, he picked up my custom coding job and did a wonderful job on it. We will be hopefully starting up the conversion tomorrow night unless a meteor strikes out server. The site won't be 100% but will be close enough to release. Still have plans for a more custom homepage, a custom reviews section on the site, some minor visuals here and there, and then some other custom mods that can hold off since I need to get my site off of IPB. My staff is super excited, especially my admins as they feel it will be so much easier to manage the site on xF once we convert. Hoping the users will be ok with the change. Releasing a new skin + new system isn't the best thing but hopefully my demographics will adapt rather quickly to it. I know the members I've shown xF have absolutely loved it and had it all figured out within an hour of just surfing around the official site. I keep getting messages from all of them asking when we are moving So that's hopefully a good sign as to what is to come. I'll try posting all my stats when things settle. Only bad thing is, IP.SEO screwed up some of my stats from the mid Dec to beginning of Jan (and I didn't catch it until then because I've been "afk" with family in town for the holidays :/ Am I a bad admin? lol) but I should have some good numbers for people to look at. I gave them a ss of just the header/banner last night. Most seemed to like it, there were some very vague responses so can't really figure out if they liked it or didn't like it. Only time will tell. Trying to get everything inline for tonight. *excited*
That sound pretty positive to me. People often view forums as a second home and don't take kindly when you rearrange the furniture. I'm quite eager to view it myself, are we there yet?
We could pester the stew out of him. Is it finished yet? Is it? is it ready? Huh? Is it, huh? But he would just ignore us, wouldn't he?
So we started it roughly at 9pm EST. We have a few more hours left until the threads and posts are converted over. In the mean time, I'll be finishing up on the forum permissions as I think I've finished the rest of the stuff. Lastly, would be to put the IPB redirects in, move the forums over to the proper directory and move wordpress over to root. I may have just found a new CMS so WP may be temporary...we'll see.
Looking REALLY nice on XenForo! Forsaken did a good job, I actually prefer this style to the IPB one as it uses up way less vertical space. Congrats on the conversion.

We've been having a lot of problems. I wasn't able to be online during the transition due to some big problems in my life that happened a few hours into the conversion. We all had our jobs to do when the conversion was done but I couldn't do any of it so they were trying to pick up the pieces of what I had to do but they really didn't know how to fully do them so they winged it. Many of the things I'm going to have to redo but at this point in time, I'm just trying to do a patch work until things in my life settle down. Sadly, it's not going to work as good as intended until I can dedicate some time to fixing issues. But thanks for the kind words. We have mixed reactions so far...probably because there are many aspects of the site that are now either hidden or just aren't working like they should. I want to tend to those asap...
I looked through that thread on your site and the general, overall reactions seem to be positive. I think the site looks good and I hope you get all the rough edges smoothed up the way you want.
I agree, most of the comments in that thread are quite positive which is a good sign. There will always be people that don't like change even if it's for the better but they almost always get used to it in the end.
I just need help with the damn wp bridge now...it's not working for me and Jamie at xenscripts isn't answering me I have a ton of stuff to do...the bad thing is...I'm not the most knowledgeable person at setting things up on the server and setting config files right :/ I still can't figure out how to get xcache working for us...I may have it workign and I may not. I'm quite...."stupid" when it comes to a lot of this but I typically know how to manage and run a community.
