WE'RE FULL !!!
Doesn't make much sense, does it? Homeless go without eating. Elderly go without needed medicines. Mentally ill go without treatment. Troops go without proper equipment. Veterans go without benefits that they were promised. Yet we spend billions to give illegal immigrants everything, before helping our own first. I say clear off cause we are full! 1% will re-post and 99% won't have it in them Aug 30, 2011

Nice avatar, us brothers of the linux cult have to stick together. What distros do you run? :)

This machine dual-boots Linux Mint Debian Edition and PCLinuxOS. The machine next to this one triple boots Win 7, Linux Mint 11 and PCLinuxOS. My laptop dual-boots Win 7 and Mint 11. My completely ignored iMac dual-boots OS X and Ubuntu Maverick. I keep saying I'll put LMDE on it, but I just can't be bothered.

Just listening to Ted Christopher's I'm Coming Home and remembering him performing it in Lanark, the night of the Wallace Homecoming. Hard to believe it's been nearly 6 years since that special day. Thanks for the musical memories, Ted!

A week ago, this machine was dual booting Debian Wheezy and Linux Mint Katya. Then Debian made way for a Mandriva install. Which has since made way for a PCLinuxOS 2011.6 install. I rather like PCLOS, so maybe I'll stick with this set-up for a bit.

Want a headache? Try installing Linux Mint and Mandriva Linux on a Win 7 machine, as a triple-boot system. Actually doing it is pretty simple. Figuring out how to do it can cause the wringing of hands, rending of garments and the gnashing of teeth. But it's all working as advertised, so Life is good.

      hey Mike hows it going?
Just got done looking over your t-bucket site and wanted to say it's really looking nice!
Anyways, hadn't chatted in a while, just saying hi!

OK, I admit it. It's impossible to get any work done with a near three year-old in the house. I give up and give in. I do hope Billy Ermel knows this is going to cost him. Dearly. This doesn't seem to be nearly as easy as it was some twenty-three years ago.

Dad, I'm counting on you to wish Mom a Happy Mother's Day for Billy, Lauren and myself. I wish you could understand how much I miss both of you.

Sitting back and enjoying the SNP wave currently washing over Scotland. With the SNP at 55 seats, can we hope to see 70?

I met Ron Orr for lunch this afternoon. It was good to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in so long.

I definitely just accidentally pressed the "-" Rep button on your reply to my intro post. Is there not a way to reverse that? :/ Sorry!

I would like to thank everyone who came down to the Masonic Temple, this morning, for Tippecanoe Lodge No. 492's monthly breakfast. We had a really encouraging turnout, approximately 80% over our average! The Junior Warden and I had to dash out to get more groceries, which was a first. A special thanks to everyone who helped out in the kitchen!

Just a quick reminder about the Tippecanoe Lodge No. 492 breakfast buffet this Saturday morning at the Lafayette Masonic Temple, located on the NW corner of 6th and Columbia.

We're talking an all you can eat breakfast for only $5!

The buffet includes eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, sausage and bacon, fruit, coffee and juice. We will start serving from 7:00 AM through 10:00 AM, so be sure to stop by.

Billy: Dad, do you have plans tomorrow?
Me: Possibly going to Lafayette Lodge's breakfast, other than that, no.
Billy: I have to work, is there any way you can watch Lauren?
Me: Well, yes, I suppose I can watch her.
Billy: OK, I have to be at work at 4:00 AM.
      Me: <drops phone in shock>

My clocks don't even have a 4:00 AM on them, so how I am meant to handle this?

I received a very flattering job offer from a gentleman for whom I have always had the utmost respect. It would have meant a return to the high performance aftermarket, which would have been fun. I had to decline the offer but was then floored to learn the offer was going to be left on the table, if I should ever be interested. Wow, I am humbled.

Working away in the old office again, with a window open and enjoying the fresh air. It could be time for a walk over to Armstrong park again today.

Just back in from my first free haircut, ever. Since there was enough to donate to Locks of Love, Great Clips did the cut at no charge. Whodathunkit?

It's really breaking my heart to sit here at the desk with a window open on 17 February. I can only wonder how dearly we're going to pay for a bit of warmer weather.
