    Worst Hosting Experience Ever.

I used to use VPS.net. Everything was perfectly fine for the first month, and then when I removed that ispmanager crap and redeployed the vps using command line administration only (which I still do to this day, no control panel software) and for the first 3 months, it's been down like clockwork every 20 days. Always excuses from VPS.net "upgrade your nodes", which is translated as "give us more money" - when I upgraded my nodes, it continued happening, and it's nothing to do with the VPS, It's the actual service they provide, 'SAN's going down all the time, hard drive failure, that line on their homepage about "Self Healing" is utter bullshit.

Their support is not english, it's some garbled mess, they need to hire english speaking support staff, and seriously work on their uptime, it's a revolutionary concept, but they do not put it into practise so well.

    Very Good Service

I have been a happy customer with VPS.net for a good 10 months now, hosting many sites and platforms on their service. Although they do experience some downtime (which is more than expected today with web hosting) the concept and idea of their scalable cloud system is really impressive. I pump a good 30 pounds a month for my two node slice with a few IPs, and have a handful of websites and scripts running at once with no problems at all resource wise.

When I encounter a problem (whether it be hosting or software related) their support is at hand pretty much 24/7 and most of my tickets were resolved within a few days. Value for what you get is competitive with other alternative companies and my favourite part is how each node is cheaper with more nodes added.

Overall, VPS.net is like any other host - you can have an excellent service, or a terrible one. But compared to other VPS solutions, it's a good choice to try out.
