Very reliable, good overall service

I've had a Linux dedicated server with Liquidweb for about 7 months now and it's been a pretty good experience.

Starting with sales, I ordered the server and was called about 20 minutes later to confirm it. This was in the evening US time so no complaints there. The server was up and running about an 2 hours later and was working perfectly.

I've rarely had to use their technical support as the server is rock solid but on the occasion where I've had to put in a ticket it has always had a quick response, usually within the hour. They also have a 24/7 Twitter presence and have chatted with them a few times via DM about a support issue and they where always quick and helpful.

They are a bit more expensive than some web hosts but they do offer a fully managed service so you have to expect to pay a little more for it.

Overall, a rock solid dedicated server provider, would definitely recommend giving them a try if you need a reliable Linux server

Used LW for about two years with a VPS. Good company to do business with. Would use them again.

Good and not so good

I have one of my dedicated servers with them.

Configuring of the server did not go well and had both configuration and charging issues, all of which were sorted after some pushing on more than one occasion.

The server runs fine, but occasionally we have the odd error. Sometimes support just give up and a resolution is not found, although to be fair these tend not to be critical errors, yet are still errors as far as logs are concerned.

One the whole, I would recommend them, but like any company they are staffed by humans and humans can make mistakes.

If I had to give them a rating out of 10, I would certainly put them at around the 8 mark.
