Default Post/PM Reports?

How often do your members report posts and PMs? Do you have instructions anywhere on your community showing them how to do this?

Yes, we have instructions. However, they use it rarely.

My staff are pretty quick, so we get to anything bad before a member has a chance to report it.

I hardly get any issues via reports. Members just grab and download what they want (that didn't sound to good) and leave without issues. Prity much is self explanatory which results the member visiting, browsing, downloading and leaving (hopefully finding something to enhance their forums and/or sites).

On one site none at all - I don't think they've worked out where the report button is

We get one or two every week or so and we have a guide to reporting posts within a site info forum.

I've had a few posts reported, mostly spam thats appeared when a lone member is on in the middle of the night. I think theres only been one reported post because of flaming etc.

On a forum I used to work on, it was honestly ridiculous with the amount of reporting that went on. I didn't visit the site for three days and there were literally thousands of reports.

Some reports were warranted, as it was utterly impossible for the moderators and community relations to read even 1/2 of posted content, but I think it was more the nature of the audience that the forum's topic attracted. There was a lot of drama and multiple reports, so that contributed to the problem.

The one really busy site I'm an admin for, we rarely get a reported post, never a PM. I'd say there's a reported post/thread about once every two months. We've got enough staff to jump on top of bad posts within a matter of minutes, but occasionally, members will report something during the east coast off-hours (we are an international community, after all).

We get a couple a week, usually by the same members who just use it to bitch about someone they don't like lol

We list how (and ask people to) to report a post/pm in our FAQ.
