HWS Hosting and yes I would recommend them to others on this site. They are great and work with their customers when they are struggling with money or need a bit more space.

I use DreamHost and have a VPS with them. They are very good to me and I hardly see downtime. In fact, recently I saw a little downtime (first in quite a few years) and they credited my account $50.00 as an apology. They dont have cPanel which I am happy about cause cpanel sucks and their support is fast! I would recommend them to everyone!

I'm with hostgator - they've served me well over the years, rarely have downtime, customer service is excellent - would recommend them to anyone!

I was with gator but they are expensive when it comes to domains. They also took a long time to approve my transfer to dreamhost. But overall, HG was a good host

I don't buy domains through my hosting - I always purchase that separately.

I've often heard this said and often distributed it - I like to have all my resources together, in a convenient place - it's nice to know that for example, my host can sort the domain for me and ensure it's all setup (also means I don't have my name all over the place in the WHOIS). Any decent host, shouldn't have a problem with releasing/transferring a domain if you choose to leave them in my opinion.
