Myself, I don't see the need for the status update mod on here (although I do have it on my own site).

And if it isn't going to be in the postbit anyway, there's really little point to it. I never look at profiles unless there's a pressing need to, maybe I'm odd though. If it's not in the postbit I doubt many will see it and thus it would be a bit of a waste of time.

This is something I want to look into, because it's not only convenient for the end user, but also convenient for existing members due to associations. vBulletin Nexus is a great product, despite it's bugs and flaws. So tweaks will be made to it before incorporating it into the main site.

I need to ensure that the Facebook portion actually works too. Like I said, something changed at FB that FUBAR'd the Notifications portion of Nexus, which is the part I, personally, like the most.

Every site should have FB/OpenID/Twitter integration, the amount of traffic those sites drive make it well worth it.

I'm merely speculating here, but I've bolded that part that is a purely biased statement. I'm not fully seeing what Floris' context is, but in a way it's a possible flame (by Chase) on others....?

I read your post as describing some more in-depth things for AdX, is my presumption. My presumption being that you are Staff and thus have more insight to the Vision here. Almost like a mission statement. It doesn't bother me since I use such sites to help improve my admin skillset, but other people might construe it negatively (e.g. we are cool b/c we can do it all). Not that such a trait is undesirable, but flaunting can come off a bit snarky.



As for the FB etc. I have no issue. I'm not interested in it and would never use it. I don't see the benefit, but that is me and my usage, which is similar to Floris.
